I have had an amazing week this past week.... I have officially quit my job at the day care. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made, It was so hard because I love those kids so much it breaks my heart that I will not be the one watching the, but I NEEDED to leave. It was in the best interest for myself, and for the day care center its self. No need to get into details, and name names and cause a ripple effect...what is done is done. And I am so happy! I have not had a headache since Friday (the day I quit) and I feel in total control because I have another job lined up already!

I will be a nanny for a few kids from the day care I worked at. I love these little angels and they are such a blast in a room with 20 other children I can only imagine the impact we will have on each other. I have my lesson plans ready, field trips lined up and I am so excited to say that I AM MY OWN BOSS , I am self employed. I have thought of all of the licensing, and insurances I will need and I am taking care of it all by myself. I am not afraid to ask for help if I get in a bind.. But I am happy to say I have not hit a wall yet. I start on Monday July 6Th, I am ready!

financially this is so much better too. I will be making substantially more at this job which sets me to pay off all my debt in less than 2 months! then I as a 22 year old will be officially debt free! I will still have my monthly upkeep bills, but no debt! I will also be able to move out of mom's house soon. And get the car I want! I test drove the Honda Cr-v this past weekend and I loved it!!!!!!!!!! BUT there are not enough seats in that car for me to take the kids around. :( that has been my dream car for years! but then I looked at the Honda pilot. and I love it! I will still look around this is not going to be a right away purchase.... I need to build up some credit first and save up a little for a down payment. but I am capable to get this car and I am thrilled to say it.

I will have to harass Amanda to help me decorate my apartment, cuz I cant do it by myself. I will need everything from kitchen plates to towels to furniture even! I'm thinking I'll do what she did and buy a little at at a time while I am still at home, so I don't buy everything while I am moved out and paying the actual rent. She is so smart! I am so excited... I am actually following through on a goal I set for myself and I have actually thought it through and it actually works!

Also I got a hair cut this past Thursday! I wanted it to just touch my shoulders, but it does NOT touch my shoulders. I will be okay in a few weeks, I don't hate it, I just really have to get used to it. so I am trying to find a before and after picture for everyone...the after pictures are not the best pictures, but I will put up better ones soon. And I will atempt to find a good before pictures.. I just have not found a good one yet.

Also on another note fathers day was a bit back there and mom and I spent to day with grandpa and grandma and GG. We had a great dinner and I took a few pictures of grandpa and I. I am going to attempt to put them up. :)

I love my friends!

no, not the TV show Amanda! ha ha. I went out to coffee with a great friend of mine, Angela last night. We just sat in her car and talked for hours and drank our tea lemonade drinks. She is one of the most funny and up lifting people I have ever met. I am pleased and blessed to have her in my life. It seems that everything STILL is falling into place. She is so supportive of me and AIM, and she even shared a lot with me about her mission experiences.

I have officially finished all of my training needed for this whole year at work. It was 2 5 hour classes and a 10 hour workbook. I really did learn a lot and I liked it. there are other free classes at libraries in my area, and I am interested to go. I find all of this information interesting and imperative for a parent of teacher. After all, kids are our future, take care of them and learn about them and for them.

I have found another amazing quote (thanks to Angela) :
"when you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on"

so I am still motivated and set on going to AIM. I am quiet impressed with myself, I would have usually found an excuse by now. I am ready, scared but ready. And I love this kind of scared. Like how we are suppose to fear God but not FEAR God.
I can only go up from here!

what a week!

This week has been crazy. work has been great, I really love those kids. I have been in the 3-4 year old room now about all week. And they are a blast! the kids are realizing what a summer is and that the parents don't get them. But we have some good activities planned for this summer, including swimming lessons for the 4 and up groups. I will be driving the bus for the field trips per the kids request they want "fun miss Ashley" to go on their field trips with them too. I think it's cute.

I also received 2 different packages in the mail this week, one from Amanda(I love you), in regards to the AIM information and getting started up in the application process, and another packet from AIM themselves. Now I didn't request this information from them so SOMEONE signed me up....but i am totally okay with that. AIM is a 2 year long schooling program in Lubbock Texas. They enroll students every August, So I could leave in 2 months or i can leave in a year and 2 months. I have personally chosen to leave for AIM (If I get excepted) next August. This will give me ample time to prepare mentally, emotionally, and financially. I want to go so so bad but I actually want to do the whole process properly and take my time and stay committed. I'm very excited and I know I can do this and I know it is all for the best for me!

I have stumbled across a few good quotes this week and I love them and they seem to fit right in with me and where I am at.

1. your past does not dictate who you are, but it will be a part of what you will become. (my big fat Greek wedding. lol.)
2. listen to your heart, once you find the beat, you will always walk in tune.

and my now favorite one to date so far:

"everything starts somewhere, WHERE IS YOUR SOMEWHERE?"
(my somewhere is AIM)

This Sunday is Matt and Julie's last week at church for a while, they are leaving for Uganda for a few months with Reese. I am so happy for them and they will be in my thoughts and prayers the whole time they are away, Grandma and grandpa came over last night and brought mom and I prayer beads for us. I have them on my keys and i am so happy I have them.
I wonder if I will get called to Uganda? only time and AIM will tell.

Elysia's wedding is tomorrow! I went to her bachelorette party last night and I had a blast! I can really tell how much she loves Thomas and that they will be very happy as the Morse's.

I will be trying to update every Monday Wednesday and Friday (or a weekend day).
And I'm still working on how to upload pictures! lol but ill get there soon.

I love my life RIGHT NOW. I'm making it better and loving it. The choices are so hard to make, but I have dug myself an early grave, and I want out. I was sitting here trying to think of how to start this blog off, a joke or a short biography, but whom ever looks at this blog already know who I am. A joke maybe.....? no, ill do enough of those already. i will try my hardest to keep this updated. This blog is one of my new goals for myself and i truly want to stick with this.
I know this entry is short, but I want to figure some things out about this blog sight and then really start typing.
